Newspaper Bulk Lots
Early American newspapers are a unique, interesting, and entertaining gift idea for the history buff in the family. Before the days of Radio and TV, newspapers were the primary means of receiving the local and world news, disseminating political information, exchanging ideas and experiences, and receiving product advertising. Reading the world and local news of the day as it was actually reported, while it was happening, gives a much more realistic and authentic view of our history and heritage.
Newspapers prior to around 1880 were made of paper with rag fibers rather than wood fibers and as a result they are generally in better condition than 1890's and 20th Century newspapers.
Our variety lots come in quantities of 5, 10, or 25 newspapers, depending on lot type, and contain newspapers from the
1800-1890 period. Custom lots can be made up on request. The papers are all in generally
good condition, all complete and readable - may have some margin chips, short edge tears, or minor spine repairs - a few may have small
repairs with acid free conservators tape. All newspapers are guaranteed to be authentic.
