6' Tavern Table

This is a nice tavern table that measures 35" wide, 72" long and 30" high. The base is oak and the top appears to be poplar. The table was in pieces when I bought it but with the exception of the side aprons and the center stretcher, it is all original. The replacement pieces were made using reclaimed old oak of a similar age as the table. The table had actually been made into a folding table - the legs were hinged to the underside of the top at the outer edges with large crude hinges. Fortunately you could still see the outline on the underside of the table where the base of the table was originally positioned. The table was disassembled, re-glued, and put back into its original form.

6' Oak Top Country Table       Sold

The table measures 36" by 72" and is 30" high. The top and apron are oak and the removable legs are a heavy hardwood, probably maple - not sure. The base and legs have a new mustard wash and the top has its original natural finish. The hanger bolts that attach the legs to the table are new as they were missing when I bought the table.

The work table measures 22" wide by 64" long by 32" high. The apron and strechers are all mortised into the legs and secured by old square head lag bolts. I also replaced the original drawer bottom as it was very dirty and soaked with oil.

Early Walnut Dropleaf Table       Sold

This is a nice early walnut dropleaf table. The table measures 20" by 36" (48" by 36" with leaves up. The top and the leaves are each single wide boards. Judging by the construction and the few nails in the table it is of mid-1800's origin. The top and leaves appear to have their original finish and have a lot of character. The drawer is a replacement that was made with old reclaimed walnut - the drawer bottom is of old reclaimed pine.
