This is a lot of 5, of the of the monthly magazine Quinnan Och Hammet (Woman And Home) published in Cedar Rapids, Iowa by W. A. Hansen. They are entirely in Dutch. They measure 8-1/2" by 11" and contain 40 pages each. It has a couple pages of fashion illustrations in each issue, some full page illustrations, lots of smaller illustrations, many illustrated ads for American products in the foreign language, and many articles with illustrations. Magazines are from March 1906, April 1906, November 1906, December 1906, and January 1907. All are in good condition - from a bound volume.

Engineering News magazine, "A Journal of Civil, Mechanical, Mining and Electrical Engineering", published in New York. The front page of the magazine has an article with 1 illustration about the construction of the dome on the Christian Scientist church in Los Angeles. Page 2 and 3 have 4 additional illustrations of the construction - they are titled:
- Cross Section of Dome and Wall
- Dtils of the Trusses Supporting the Dome
- Falsework For Trussses
- Interior of Reinforced Concrete Church at Los Angles Showing Beams and Girders Supporting Dome
Magazine measures 10" by 15-1/2" and contains 32 pages - from a bound volume - cut at spine (individual pages not bound together) - otherwise good condition.

1930 The 2 Black Crows Photo/D.W. Griffith $16.00 This is the October 25, 1930 issue of " The Illustrated London News ", an illustrated magazine published in London, England. It measures 11 inches by 16 inches and contains 40 pages. It has a photo of "The Two Black Crows" a well known comedy team of the day who were starring in a movie "Anybody's War". The photo is part of a long illustrated article about D.W.Griffiths entry into talkies and the Kinema - primarily about his film "Abraham Loncoln". The magazine is in very good condition - very clean - not brittle - never bound. It has one advertisng page missing toward the back of the magazine.

The Palace At Santa FE by L. Bradford Prince. The article gives a hitory of the Governor's Palace in Santa Fe that dates back to 1598. The article has 1 illustration of the Governor's Palace. Magazine is from a bound volume - some roughness of spine - otherwise good condition.

Scientific American magazine. The front page illustration is titled "Moving a Mountain In Utah - The Inclined Tramway By Which the Mountain Top, Removed by Steam Shovels, Is Sent Down to the Mill". There is a related article with 3 additional photos titled "Moving a Mountan in Utah". The article describes the Binham Canyon Mines and the Utajh Consolidated Copper Company. The 3 photos are titled :

1910 Furst Bismarck Letters Book in German $18.00 This is a hard cover, 6-1/2" by 9-1/2", 659 page book titled "Furst Bismark's Briefe an seine Braut und Gattin" that is a compilation of letters of the Royal Bismarck family including those of Bismarck's wife and family compiled by Fursten Herbert Bismarck and published in Stutgart and Berlin in 1910. The book is in very good conditon - some photos and illustrations. The book is entirely in German.

I do not know what they are about. They are in fairly good conditon with some edge chips - never folded. One document measures 6" by 15" and the other measures 5-1/4" by 9-1/2".

The Fatherland a weekly magazine published in New York that was a pro-Germany, German-American magazine. The three dates are: September 29, 1915, October 6, 1915 and November 17, 1915. The cover on the September 29 issue is titled "Crime Of the Year 1915" and has ads for orders of shells and military equipment by Europe from the US, the cover on the October 6 issue is of American workers entering an ammunition factory, and the cover on November 17 issue is a picture of Herman Ridder. Magazines are in good condition - they each have 2 holes at the spine from being stored I a two ring binder.
